LIFE COACHING

Life coaching focuses you on exactly what you want to achieve and gets you to where you want to be faster. Many of us go through life being constantly busy doing all sorts of things, and hardly ever stop to consider what we want for our future. Seeing a Life Coach helps you to do just that. It’s taking some time out to look at your future and what you want to achieve.
In having me as your life coach, I will give you my 100% attention. I will be non-judgemental: I will listen, encourage, motivate and support you just when you need it. I will help to keep you focussed on your goals, and using my experience and expertise and help you identify choices and options that are available to you. Some of these you may have not even given thought to. My aim is to keep you moving in the direction of your goal much faster than you could on your own.

Hi I’m Jackie Hill…

and I’m guessing that you are looking for a solution to whatever is challenging you in your life right now. Whether it’s personal or professional I’m here to help you.  I have made it my life’s work to empower others to achieve their potential and be happy. Consequently, I am passionate about helping people like you.

Here are the different ways you can do Life Coaching

Life coaching by telephone:

Most of my customers who want life coaching prefer to do this over the phone. There are several reasons why this works successfully. Life coaching by phone means that you can be coached anywhere and anytime, which fits in if you are someone who has a busy life.

On-line life coaching:

There is no doubt, face to face life coaching is best because it enables both of us to communicate better and develop a rapport more quickly. On-line life coaching using is a great way of using modern technology to enable us to have face-to-face coaching sessions. This bridges the gap of distance, convenience  and time available that can get in way of attending physically appointments. Many of us lead busy lives so to fit something else in your schedule can be overwhelming.

Face-to-face life coaching:

Sometimes it makes sense to meet face-to-face even if there is more time, cost, or inconvenience involved. If you prefer being coached face to face we can meet at my therapy room located in Bacton, Suffolk.

Life Coaching by Email:

Life coaching using email is again a convenient for the client but naturally is not as immediate as talking to someone over the phone or through WhatsApp. However, the period of time between emails between us  does allow us both to think about what is being discussed.

What to expect from Counselling

Every counselling session is tailored to your individual needs. There are several ways we can do this.

What happens in Life Coaching sessions

Once you’ve booked your first life coaching session with me, I will discuss how you can prepare for your first appointment. You will need to consider what you would like to get out of the coaching, and what particular areas you would like to focus on. Basically it’s thinking about where you are now and where you want to go. Try to identify your needs and wants. Think about your strengths and weaknesses. Write down your fears and what other barriers stop you from moving forward to achieve your goal.

Together we will discuss the things you’ve thought about in more detail. We will look at your capabilities, what support and resources you have as well as looking at your level of motivation and what challenges you most.

Then together we will look at h0w we will work together as coach and coachee. This will include what commitments are expected from both sides, and the style of coaching. For example, how do you want me to respond is you fall behind on your goals? How challenging do you want me to be?

Towards the end of the first session we will agree dates for the future sessions, so bring along your diary.

A life coaching session will normally last 50 minutes in length, however, sometimes it may be less or more. We can be flexible.  Usually we need the full amount of time in the beginning but find over time the length of the sessions get shorter.

Likewise with frequency. You may decide weekly at first then perhaps fortnightly or even monthly.  It depends on the time you will need to complete the actions you have set yourself from the previous session, and to include enough time in-between sessions for reflection.

During each session I will make some notes for my future reference. I also suggest that you do the same so bring along a notebook to each session. A notebook is also handy in between sessions so you can capture any ideas that come to you. Many people keep a journal as well to write down their thoughts as they journey towards their goal.

During the sessions we will prepare an Action Plan and set targets and homework.

Online counselling is available using WhatsApp. It is very efficient and effective way of undertaking therapy or coaching, particularly if you lead a busy life. You can find out more details about WhatsApp counselling, therapy, or life coaching sessions by clicking here.

During your counselling sessions with me, I will encourage you to express your feelings and emotions. You will gain a better understanding of your feelings and thought processes as I guide you to find your own solutions to the problems you face. Furthermore, sharing your worries and fears with someone else who acknowledges your feelings is a great relief in itself.

This is a question people often ask me. The answer of course is entirely up to you. However, please be aware that the process can be painful and uncomfortable at times and so I will guide you as to how often you will need to come.

Initially you will be offered a single session where we can discuss together the problems you are facing. At that session I will assess whether a short course of counselling over a few weeks or months or whether a longer period is more appropriate. Whatever we decide we would regularly review your progress at intervals of 6 weeks.
